Associates have always been at the heart of everything we do at Mars and have helped us to create a unique culture that has seen us regularly on Great Place to Work® lists around the world. We are delighted to announce that this year we’ve made the list for the sixth year in a row, rising to number four.
Great Place to Work® is the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures. More than 10 million of employees from 6,600 of companies around the globe participated in the survey process for the World’s Best Workplaces list. The ranking assessed employees’ perspectives on leadership, organizational culture, and trust.
“We are proud to have been identified as one of the World’s Best Workplaces for the sixth year in a row,” said Grant F. Reid, CEO and President of Mars. “This is a recognition of Mars Associates around the world and the heart and soul that they bring to work every day.”
Workplace highlights that helped us make the 2017 list included our commitment to training and development, Associate programs (like the Mars Volunteers Program), and the pride Associates expressed in the survey conducted by the Great Place to Work® institute.
Culture, joy and a sense of purpose are some of reasons why Associates ranked us as a top place to work globally. “Working for Mars is far more than just a job – it is about working with kind and supportive people,” said one Associate. “I am always challenged to go above and beyond and Mars always rewards us with far more than just pay and benefits.”
“We are a global company with over 100,000 Associates, and no matter the location, our people and culture are at our core,” said Eric Minvielle, Vice President, People and Organization at Mars. “Every day, Mars Associates are making a difference – for our business, the planet, communities and even pets – and we couldn’t be prouder of them.”
Great Place to Work® conducts the largest global study on workplace excellence annually. This consists of an extensive survey and analysis of feedback from thousands of employees from hundreds of multinational companies. The results are driven by employees’ evaluations of management, pay, benefits, growth opportunities, culture, and their jobs.
One of the qualifiers for Mars being considered for the World’s Best Workplaces list was local Mars teams appearing on 23 Great Place to Work® lists this past year in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Central America & Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Greater China, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States.
